Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, London NW1
Supported by the Prince of Wales Foundation for Integrated Health and other organisations - click here for more details.
The Department of Health is determined to encourage new providers (public, private, co-operative, partnerships, social entrepreneurs, sole traders) to supply medical services to Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). At the same time Practice-Based Commissioning allows GP practices singly or in concert to buy in medical services.
What are the opportunities for providers of Complementary and Alternative Medicines to take advantage of these changes?
- Session 1: Policy: Why seek professional health-related services outside the NHS? What is currently in place on the NHS side to make this a reality, & what is still to be done?
- Session 2: Practice: What should the professional bodies be doing? Examples of New CAM commissioning.
