The role of project managers, mentors and experts (“Cornerstones”) provided as part of The Virtual Company scheme.

WestFocus Business Acceleration provides ongoing support via the following mechanisms:
- HEI-based facilitator who will provide initial support, especially definition of a Primary Objective; this means a short-term plan with milestones that typically includes enlisting other team members (if required) and funding.  The facilitator takes the role of interim Project Champion, but will expect to hand over to another as the project progresses - in which case the facilitator serves as ongoing KU contact
- Introduction to other individuals willing to provide 'Cornerstone' support including, as appropriate, technical experts and business mentors prepared to commit to the project.  These individuals join the team and may work at no charge to the inventor on the basis of agreement for an equity share or success fee commensurate with their contribution, depending whether they expect to provide long-term or short-term support.
- Access to consultancy from Kingston University or WestFocus academics, normally on a daily rate basis
