Identifying the Enterprise Idea
This Building Block provides you with an understanding of how to develop your own enterprise idea. Having focussed on your own potential to be an entrepreneur in Building Block 1, now we move on to explore the enterprise process itself. The first key stage in this process is always a creative one – coming up with your enterprise idea. The creative process, including ways of enhancing your own creativity, are explored here.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this Building Block you should be able to:
- Understand the importance of identifying the specific need or want that your enterprise idea is designed to meet
- Appreciate the different sources of opportunity for your enterprise idea
- Identify the role of creativity in helping to discover a viable enterprise idea
- Apply a range of creative problem-solving techniques to assist you identify and refine your enterprise idea
